Let’s blast those tunes! Every person who drives a car listens to the radio at one point or another. For some car owners, the radio is essential to their driving. Unfortunately, the stereo system will likely have at least one problem during the vehicle’s lifetime. So if yours isn’t working, let’s fix it! Below are the steps to reset a Jeep Commander’s stereo system.

2006 – 2010 Models
- Open the hood of the vehicle.
- Use a socket wrench to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery cable. (Ensure the cable is away from the battery and does not touch the terminal in any manner.)
- Use the socket wrench to disconnect the positive terminal. (Again, do not let it touch the terminal.)
- Let the car sit for 3-5 minutes.
- Reconnect the cables to the battery.
Note: This will reset the radio. However, it will also erase any saved radio stations or paired phones. When starting the car, you must reset the stations and pair phones again.
