Chevy Cruze: Start Car With Low Remote Battery

Chevy Cruze: Start Car With Low Remote Battery

Posted on July 16, 2019 by Mitch Bartlett 1 Comment

The Chevy Cruze allows the vehicle to start if the key fob transmitter in the cab. This can sometimes be a problem if the battery in the key fob is low. When this happens, the display on the instrument panel may display a message that say “No Remote Detected” or “Replace Battery in Remote Key“.

If you don’t have a CR2032 battery available to replace the one in the remote, you can still start your vehicle by placing the key fob remote in the front top cupholder. With the key fob in the cup holder, you should then be able to press the “Engine Start/Stop” button to start the vehicle.
