Dodge Charger: How to Open Fuel Door

Posted on January 3, 2020 by Mitch Bartlett 1 Comment

Having trouble finding out how too open the fuel door on a Dodge Charger? The release button is located in a different spot than most vehicles.

You can locate the button on the driver’s side door right to the upper-left of the map pocket. Simply press the button and the gas tank door will be released.

Strange place for a fuel door release button, isn’t it!?!

FAQ

What if the fuel door won’t open using this method?

Thankfully, most Dodge Charger models come with an emergency fuel door release located in the trunk. Remove the access cover on the left side inner trim panel, then yank the fuel door release cable.
