Hyundai recommends that you have the Elantra serviced every 7,500 miles or once every year. The vehicle will display a “Service Required” message or wrench light to remind you to have your oil changed among other things.
You can clear or reset this oil change light using the following steps.
- Start the vehicle.
- Press and hold the “OK” or “RESET” button (varies by model) for 5 seconds.
- Release the “OK” button, then press and hold it again for 1 second. The oil change light will then reset.
That’s all there is to it! The oil change notification should now be reset. If these steps didn’t work for you, try performing the steps again.
No Reset button on the Elantra 2010 that I have.
I’ve followed the steps to reset the oil change line a dozen times and am still getting the service required wrench. Any additional information would be appreciated.
