Installing Apps in your Honda Pilot is simple and does not take long at all. Below you will find the uncomplicated instructions on how to install and enjoy many features Apps have to offer for Android and iPhone users.
**NOTE: If you are unable to install apps on the first try, REPEAT the steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.
Android
- With your vehicle in the ON position without starting the engine.
- Connect to Wifi or a Hotspot.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the designated spot.
- Touch WEB BROWSER.
- Type in cmdroid.com in Google search.
- Touch the Honda’s PERMISSIONS app.
- Must also download FILE COMMANDER then INSTALL and OPEN it.
- Touch INTERNAL STORAGE.
- Toggle down to the DOWNLOAD FILE then OPEN it.
- Touch RECENT DOWNLOADED APPS.
- Touch the 3 dots next to this file. A box will pop up with Rename, Copy, Cut and Delete in it.
- Touch CUT.
- Touch USB STORAGE.
- PASTE the file you cut into USB storage.
- You will see ALL the apps you just downloaded.
- Open the HONDA PERMISSIONS App.
- Touch PROCESS CONTROLS.
- Touch the + button located in the lower RIGHT side corner of the screen.
- Input information for any App you want to add, such as, for Spotify you enter com.spotify.music.
*Do the same to add multiple Apps.
iPhone
First:
- Make certain the software is updated on your phone.
- Only use an Apple Cable that is in great shape to assure you do not have any download issues.
- Plug the cable into the designated spot.
- With your vehicle in the ON position without starting the engine.
- An AppleCarplay consent screen will pop up; Touch ENABLE.
*Compatible Apps are now visible for you to use.
The honda pilot 2020 has no browser, how do I install it.
Honda pilot 2018..i can download the apps – Honda permissions and the file commander, but will not let me install. It is grayed out when I get to install.
I also have a 2018 Pilot and have the grayed-out install button as well. Does anyone have a solution?
