Learn how to open the trunk on the Chevy Equinox with this tutorial. We show you three different ways!

2020 – 2023 Models

There are three ways to open the trunk in these models:

Power Liftgate/Automatic Method

1. Press the liftgate control knob located on the front passenger door.
   • The trunk will open to a maximum of ¾ height, depending on how the vehicle is programmed.

Remote Keyless Entry Method

1. Press the power door lock button on the Keyless Remote Entry 2x.
2. The trunk will pop open.

Manual Method

1. Approach the trunk and press the touchpad below the trunk handle.
2. Lift the trunk.

2011 – 2019 Models

You can open the trunk using the same three methods above. However, in these models, the power liftgate control is located on the overhead console near the sunroof.
