- Pull the hood release lever on the driver’s side under the steering wheel.
- Slightly lift the hood.
- Locate the hood latch under the center of the hood, and push the latch left.
- Pull the hood up.
- To hold the hood in place, support it using the support strut. Ensure the strut supports the hood before releasing your grip or starting any work.
2002 – 2016 Models
- Pull the hood release lever on the driver’s side under the steering wheel near the floorboards.
- Slightly lift the hood.
- Locate and pull the safety catch under the center of the hood towards you.
- Lift the hood entirely.
- To hold the hood in place, support it using the support strut. Ensure the strut supports the hood before releasing your grip or starting any work.
1995 – 2001 Models
- Pull the hood release lever on the driver’s side under the steering wheel.
- Slightly lift the hood.
- Locate the hood latch under the center of the hood, and push the latch left.
- Pull the hood up.
