Chrysler 200 & 300: How to Reset Stereo System

Stereo systems are a standard feature in all cars now. Sometimes the systems develop problems and need to be reset. Below are directions for resetting the stereo system of a Chrysler 200 and 300.

300 Models

2020 – 2023 Models

Fuses

  1. Open the hood to locate the fuse box in the engine compartment.
  2. Open the fuse box by pressing the tabs on either side of the lid and pulling up.
  3. Check fuse F37.
  4. If the fuses are burnt, replace them with new ones.

Hard Reset

  1. Open the hood of the vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the terminal with a socket wrench. Make sure the cable does not touch the battery or terminal.
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Make sure the cable does not touch the battery or terminal.
  4. Let the car sit for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Reconnect the cables to the battery again.

2011 – 2019 Models

Fuses

  1. Open the hood to locate the fuse box in the engine compartment.
  2. Open the fuse box by pressing the tabs on either side of the lid and pulling up.
  3. Check fuse F37.
  4. If the fuses are burnt, replace them with new ones.

  1. Open the hood of the vehicle.

2005 – 2010 Models

UConnect

  1. Simultaneously press and hold the “UConnect” and “Voice Recognition” buttons for 15 seconds.

  2. Open the fuse box by pressing the tabs on either side of the lid and pulling up.
  3. Check fuse 36.
  4. If the fuses are burnt, replace them with new ones.

200 Models

2015 – 2017 Models

  1. Open the hood to locate the fuse box in the engine compartment.
  2. Open the fuse box by pressing the tabs on either side of the lid and pulling up.
  3. Check fuse F80.
  4. If the fuses are burnt, replace them with new ones.
