Volkswagen Polo: Connect a Phone

Connecting your phone to your Polo allows you to make hands-free phone calls, use voice commands and send messages hassle-free. Follow the steps below to connect your phone using Bluetooth.

2021 – 2022 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. Initiate a device search on your phone.
  4. Select “MY VW ####” from available devices. Your car display will tell you the number sequence to look for on your phone. Such as “MY VW 9586.”
  5. Ensure your phone and car display show the same passcode. Confirm by selecting ok on the screen display.
  6. Select ok on your phone.
  7. Your pairing is complete.

2019 – 2020 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. On your stereo display, select the phone button.
  4. Select Find Cellphone.
  5. Your car will automatically initiate a Bluetooth search. From the listed devices, select your phone.
  6. Select ok.
  7. The pairing is automatic.

2017 – 2018 Model

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. On your stereo display, select the phone button.
  4. Select Find Telephone.
  5. Your car will automatically initiate a Bluetooth search. From the listed devices, select your phone.
  6. Select ok.
  7. The pairing is automatic.

2015 – 2016 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. On your stereo display, select the phone button.
  4. Initiate a device search on your phone.
  5. Select “VW Phone” from available devices.
  6. Once selected, the pairing is automatic.

2013 – 2014 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. Initiate a device search on your phone.
  4. Select “VW Phone” from available devices.
  5. Your phone will ask if you would like to pair—select pair. 
  6. Your car display will also ask if you want to connect to your phone. Select ok using your steering wheel controls.
  7. Ensure your phone and car display show the same passcode. Confirm by selecting ok again on the steering wheel.
  8. The paring is complete.

2010 – 2012 Models

  1. Open your phone’s settings and turn on your Bluetooth. Ensure your device is discoverable.
  2. Turn your car on or to auxiliary mode.
  3. Initiate a device search on your phone.
  4. Select “VW Phone” from available devices.
  5. Your phone will request a passcode. Enter 0000.
  6. Enter ok.
  7. The pairing is complete.
