Volkswagen Atlas: How to Reset TPMS

When you change your tires, or one of the tires is low on pressure, you’ll see a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light on the car Information System. Once you inflate your tires to the recommended pressure, you must manually reset the TPMS.

Below is the process of resetting the TPMS on all models of Volkswagen Atlas.

2018 – 2023 Models

  1. Place your vehicle on level ground and turn it off.
  2. Ensure all tires’ pressure is set to the pressure recommended by the Tire and Loading Information Label.
  3. Turn on the ignition, but let the engine remain off.
  4. Press the Car option on the dashboard.
  5. Press Settings.
  6. Select Tires.
  7. Tap Set under the Tire Pressure Monitoring System section.
  8. Tap Confirm when the prompt asks, “Do all your four tire pressure readings comply with the required values?”
  9. You successfully reset your tire pressure and should see a ‘Tire pressures have been stored’ message on the dashboard.
