Some background music or listening to a podcast can take care of your mood when you are driving. Here is the procedure you can use to reset your Toyota Tacoma stereo.
2019 – 2022 Models
- Tap the menu button.
- Navigate through the setup option and select the delete personal data option.
- Your system will rest.
2012 – 2018 Models
Soft Reset
- While ensuring your car engine is turned off, double-press the engine button to turn the car to ACC mode.
- Allow the multimedia screen to power on.
- For about 15 seconds, press and hold the PWR-VOL knob.
- At this point, the Toyota Entune should rest and resume normal functioning. This procedure automatically rests the stereo system of your Toyota Tacoma.
Hard Reset
When the soft reset doesn’t work, you can try the following steps to perform a hard reset:
- While ensuring your car engine is turned off, double-press the engine button to turn the car to ACC mode.
- Navigate through the multimedia system to locate the Apps button.
- Press and hold the button until the diagnosis menu appears on the screen.
- Press and hold down the INIT button that appears on the multimedia screen.
- Press yes on the prompt message, which indicates that personal data is initialized.
- The stereo system of your Toyota Tacoma will reset and function as normal.
