2016 – 2022 Models

  1. Keep your vehicle on or running, but ensure you are parked before proceeding.
  2. Go to your “Bluetooth Settings” on your phone and turn it on.
  3. Hit the “home” button available on the left side of your car’s display.
  4. Click “select phone,” then select “Add.”
  5. From your mobile phone, scan for new devices.
  6. Select “TOYOTA Tacoma,” usually closer to the bottom of your options.
  7. Once connected, you will be prompted to allow access to your contacts. If you wish to make hands-free calls, click “allow.”

2013 – 2015 Models

  1. Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone.
  2. On your car’s display, hit the “setup” button, then select “Bluetooth.”
  3. Under the Bluetooth settings display in your vehicle, hit “registered devices,” then select “add new.”
  4. On your smartphone, under the Bluetooth settings, scan for devices and select “CAR MULTIMEDIA.”
  5. Click “pair,” and you should be connected.

2010 – 2012 Models

You can connect your phone to any Toyota Tacoma model ranging between 2010 and 2012 using voice commands from your car.

  1. On your steering wheel, hit the “phone” button and listen to the voice commands.
  2. On the screen, you will see a list of options; select “pair a phone” by pushing the knob on your car’s display system.
  3. Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device and make it discoverable.
  4. On your steering wheel, push the top switch. When it beeps, say the name of your Bluetooth device. For example, Kevin’s phone.
  5. Push the top switch again and say, “confirm.”
  6. On your phone, select your phone’s Bluetooth and enter the code your car’s voice assistant provided.
