  1. 2017 Prius. Pressing the start button without stepping on the brake did not “activate the hybrid system” as step 1 claimed it would. Instead, I stepped on the brake and turned on the car and then followed the rest of the instructions and turned off the warning message.

  2. I have a 2021 Prius Prime. My oil change is every 10k and I can get that changed but the 5K required maintenance see your dealer still shows up. I get my tires rotated cheaper near my home and do not want the dealer hounding me for extra BS services. What can I do? The information above does not stop the 5K message.

  3. 10k oil change will get your car threw the warranty period, and sounds good to non mechanical people, but if you want longevity from YOUR engine. 5k mile change is the right answer.

  4. On the 2015 Prius Trim Four, I had to use the km/mph button rather than the trip button. All is well! This is great to know how to do since the light comes on after 5K even though the oil change with premium synthetic is good to 10K.
