All cars need one type of fuel or another. You aren’t going anywhere if you don’t fill it up or charge it. Here are a few ways to open the fuel door on a Toyota Highlander.
2013 – 2022 Models
Inside the Vehicle
- Locate the button on the lower part of the dashboard. The switch has a picture of a gas pump on it.
- Press the button. The fuel door will pop open.
In the Trunk
- If your button doesn’t work or you need to fill up your car while it is dead, open the trunk. There will be a small door on the left-hand side.
- Open the door and pull back on the lever inside. The fuel door will pop open.
2001 – 2012 Models
- Locate the lever near the car’s floor next to the door frame.
- Pull the lever. The fuel door will pop open.
