Since the Toyota Corolla is so fuel efficient, it’s always nice to see the average fuel consumption you are getting per gallon. The average miles per gallon (MPG) is displayed on the instrument panel. I like to reset the measurement every time I refuel. You can reset it using these steps.
2014-2023 Models
- Press and release the “DISP” button located on the steering wheel to toggle the display to the average MPG.
- Press and hold the “DISP” button for about 3 seconds until the value clears.
1995 – 2005 Models
- Press and release the stem button located up on the instrument panel to toggle the display to the average MPG.
- Press and hold the stem for about 2 seconds until the value clears.
FAQ
Why isn’t the MPG clearing for me?
Be sure you are displaying the average miles per gallon and not the current miles per gallon value while attempting to reset it.
