2009 – 2022 Models
- Turn on the ignition.
- If the radio screen says “CODE,” then turn Off the radio.
- Press and hold the power/volume knob for 40-50 seconds.
- This action should unlock your radio.
Alternatively,
- Turn on the ignition.
- If the radio screen says “CODE,” then turn Off the radio.
- Press and hold the down button and power/volume knob for 60 seconds.
- This action should bypass the radio and gives you access to the radio.
2003 – 2008 Models
- Turn on the ignition.
- Turn on the radio.
- Press and hold the number 1 button and the up arrow on the left side of the radio simultaneously.
- You will see four dashes appear on the radio display.
- Input the stereo code using the corresponding preset buttons numbered 1-6. You can locate the stereo code in your owner’s manual, on a placard inside the glove box, or from a Toyota dealer.
- You will get three chances to put in your code correctly, or you will lock the system. If the system locks, you’ll need to visit a Toyota dealer for help.
1996 – 2002 Models
- Turn on the ignition, but don’t turn on the engine.
- Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob. You will hear a long beep when the system has reset.
- Turn on your radio and see if it displays “CODE” or “LOC.” If it does, turn off the radio.
- Press and hold the audio power button with the SEEK button for about 50-60 seconds. Then, it will turn on without entering the radio code.
