2009 – 2022 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. If the radio screen says “CODE,” then turn Off the radio.
  3. Press and hold the power/volume knob for 40-50 seconds.
  4. This action should unlock your radio.

Alternatively,

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. If the radio screen says “CODE,” then turn Off the radio.
  3. Press and hold the down button and power/volume knob for 60 seconds.
  4. This action should bypass the radio and gives you access to the radio.

2003 – 2008 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Turn on the radio.
  3. Press and hold the number 1 button and the up arrow on the left side of the radio simultaneously.
  4. You will see four dashes appear on the radio display.
  5. Input the stereo code using the corresponding preset buttons numbered 1-6. You can locate the stereo code in your owner’s manual, on a placard inside the glove box, or from a Toyota dealer.
  6. You will get three chances to put in your code correctly, or you will lock the system. If the system locks, you’ll need to visit a Toyota dealer for help.

1996 – 2002 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition, but don’t turn on the engine.
  2. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on your key fob. You will hear a long beep when the system has reset.
  3. Turn on your radio and see if it displays “CODE” or “LOC.” If it does, turn off the radio.
  4. Press and hold the audio power button with the SEEK button for about 50-60 seconds. Then, it will turn on without entering the radio code.
