The traction control feature on the Toyota 4Runner helps stabilize your vehicle when driving on slippery roads. Traction control isn’t so handy when you’re wheels are stuck, or traveling on gravel or dirt. Fortunately, there is a way you can turn the Traction Control system on and off. Just follow these steps.
- Locate the traction off control button . It’s normally located on the top console, above the rear view mirror.
- To turn traction control off, press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds. The instrument panel will display a “TRAC OFF” notification when the system is disabled.
- To turn traction control on, simply press the button once, and the system will turn back on.
I hope this guide has helped you operate the traction control system on the Toyota 4Runner.
