Toyota 4Runner: Connect a Phone

Since 2012, Toyota has added Bluetooth to its in-car features. This feature lets you make and receive hands-free calls using the car’s speakers.

2012 – 2022

  1. On your phone, go to your PHONE SETTINGS.
  2. Select the BLUETOOTH menu.
  3. Turn your Bluetooth ON.
  4. Press HOME on the top left of your in-car radio.
  5. A popup will open on the left of your screen. If you don’t have a phone connected to your car Bluetooth, the popup will read NO PHONE CONNECTED and, underneath, REGISTER PHONE. If a phone is already connected, the popup will read SELECT PHONE, and you can add your new phone from the next screen.
  6. Another popup will open that reads THERE ARE NO BLUETOOTH DEVICES REGISTERED: WOULD YOU LIKE TO ADD ONE NOW?
  7. Press YES.
  8. When the SELECT DEVICE screen opens, SELECT your phone from the list.
  9. PIN will appear on the screen and your phone.
  10. If the PINs match, press PAIR on your phone.
