If you replace the tires on the Tesla Model S, you will need to reset the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors. This guide shows you how.
2020 – 2023 Models
- Ensure your tires are inflated to the correct PSI.
- Turn the car on.
- Drive for more than 10 minutes over 15 mph; the sensors reset automatically.
2012 – 2019 Models
- Turn the car on.
- On the touch screen, go to Controls.
- Select Settings.
- Select Service + Reset.
- Select Tire Pressure Monitor.
- Select Reset Sensors.
- Enter your wheel or tire size, and press Reset.
- Select OK.
- Use the scroll wheel and select Car Status. If the pressure reading is from the previous tires, leave the car stationary for at least 20 minutes.
- Drive your car faster than 25 mph for at least 20 minutes for the TPMS to fully reset.
