Tesla Model S: How To Set Clock

Here’s how to change the time in all of our current Tesla Model S to make your life a little easier. The multi-information displays on most models include clocks that you can adjust through in-car settings. Some people still use actual buttons, though.

2015 – 2022 Models

Physical Buttons to Set the Clock

The buttons here are labeled “H,” “M,” and “:00.” The “H” and “M” buttons advance the clock by one hour and one minute, respectively. The closest hour’s time is determined by pressing the “:00” button.

  1. Use the steering wheel device buttons to access the appropriate settings menu.
  2. To start the adjustment mode,push and hold the ‘DISP’ button on the steering wheel.
  3. The hours will be highlighted when you push and hold the “DISP” button, and each time you do, the clock will go forward by one hour.
  4. Wait 5 seconds for the hours to confirm.
  5. Repeat the process to set the minutes.
  6. After setting the minutes, pause for five seconds before making any changes or exiting the setting menu.

Menu-Based Clock Adjustment

  1. Push the “Menu/Select” knob to start.
  2. Choose “SETUP.”
  3. Select “GENERAL.”
  4. Select “Clock.”
  5. You may cycle through the hours and minutes, set the minutes to zero, and select the 12- or 24-hour time format as needed.
