Here’s how to change the time in all of our current Tesla Model S to make your life a little easier. The multi-information displays on most models include clocks that you can adjust through in-car settings. Some people still use actual buttons, though.

2015 – 2022 Models
Physical Buttons to Set the Clock
The buttons here are labeled “H,” “M,” and “:00.” The “H” and “M” buttons advance the clock by one hour and one minute, respectively. The closest hour’s time is determined by pressing the “:00” button.
- Use the steering wheel device buttons to access the appropriate settings menu.
- To start the adjustment mode,push and hold the ‘DISP’ button on the steering wheel.
- The hours will be highlighted when you push and hold the “DISP” button, and each time you do, the clock will go forward by one hour.
- Wait 5 seconds for the hours to confirm.
- Repeat the process to set the minutes.
- After setting the minutes, pause for five seconds before making any changes or exiting the setting menu.
Menu-Based Clock Adjustment
- Push the “Menu/Select” knob to start.
- Choose “SETUP.”
- Select “GENERAL.”
- Select “Clock.”
- You may cycle through the hours and minutes, set the minutes to zero, and select the 12- or 24-hour time format as needed.
