Tesla Model 3: Reset TPMS

Ensure that your Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) gives you an accurate reading on your Tesla Model 3 in the following two ways.

2017 – 2022 Models

  1. Ensure your tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
  2. Turn your vehicle on.
  3. On the touchscreen, press Controls.
  4. Press Settings.
  5. Press Service & Reset.
  6. Press Tire Pressure Monitor.
  7. Reset according to your wheel size.
  8. Press and hold either of the scroll wheels on either side of the steering wheel.
  9. Select Car Status to see a TPMS overview.
  10. Leave your car stationary for at least 20 minutes.
  11. Drive your car at a speed of over 25 mph. Auto-learn will begin, and the correct tire pressure will be displayed.

General Reset

  1. Ensure your tires are inflated to the correct pressure.
  2. Press the two scroll wheels simultaneously on either side of your steering wheel.
  3. Your touchscreen will go blank.
  4. Release the scroll wheels.
  5. The Tesla logo will appear on your touchscreen after a few seconds.
  6. Navigate to view your Tire Pressure Monitor (Steps 1-6 above).
  7. If you are not certain that the readings are correct, drive around at a low speed to allow the sensors to register the tire pressures.
