Nissan Rogue: How to Reset Oil Change Light

The Nissan Rogue will display a “Maintenance Minder” or “Service Due Now” notification to remind you when the vehicle is due for an oil change. After you have had the service performed, you can reset the oil light with these steps.

2016-2023 Models

  1. Turn the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Use the “Up” and “Down” arrow buttons on the steering wheel to toggle the selection to “Maintenance.”
  3. Press the “OK” button on the steering wheel to go into the “Maintenance” menu.
  4. Use the “Up” and “Down” arrows to toggle the selection to “Oil and Filter.”
  5. Press the “OK” button on the steering wheel to go into the “Oil and Filter” menu.
  6. Use the “Up” and “Down” arrows to toggle the selection to “Reset.”
  7. Press the “OK” button to choose “Reset.”
  8. Use the “Down” arrow to highlight “Yes.”
  9. Press the “OK” button, and the “Oil and Filter” light will be reset.

2014-2015 Models

  1. Turn the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Repeatedly press the page button to toggle to the “Setting” screen.
  3. Use the circle button to toggle the selection to “Maintenance,” then press the page button to enter that screen.
  4. From the “Maintenance” screen, use the circle button to toggle the selection to “Engine Oil,” then press the page button to enter that screen.
  5. From the “Engine Oil” screen, use the circle button to toggle the selection to “Reset,” then press the page button to enter that screen.
  6. Press the circle button to reset the engine oil light.

2009-2013 Models

  1. Turn the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Repeatedly press the right stem button on the instrument panel until it toggles to “Settings.”
  3. Once on the “Settings” option, push and hold the right stem button. A menu will appear.
  4. Twist the stem button to highlight “Maintenance,” then push the button to select it.
  5. Twist the stem button to highlight “Service,” then push the button to select it.
  6. Twist the stem button to highlight “Reset,” then push the button to select it.
