2001 – 2023 Models
- In the cabin of the Range Rover, locate the hood release lever in the left front footwell below the steering wheel.
- Pull the hood release lever, and you will hear the hood click open with a popping sound, indicating that the hood has been partially released.
- At the front of your Range Rover, you will see the hood slightly open but still held in place.
- Locate a safety latch located under the hood, between the E of Range and the R of Rover.
- Squeeze the safety lever upwards and finally raise the hood.
- Once the hood is raised, it’s on hydraulics, so it just holds itself up.
1995 – 2000 Models
- In the cabin of the Range Rover, locate the hood release lever in the left front footwell below the steering wheel.
- Pull the hood release lever until you hear a click.
- The hood should be slightly open.
- Locate a safety latch located under the hood, between the E of Range and the R of Rover.
- Squeeze the safety lever upwards and finally raise the hood.
- Use the hood strut rod to support the hood.
