Ram Pickup: How to Open the Hood

Do you want to check something under the hood of your RAM pickup? We prepared this guide to show you how to open the hood of a RAM pickup truck.

2019 – 2022 Models

1. Pull the hood release handle at the base of the instrument panel below the steering wheel.
2. Approach the hood of your vehicle.
3. Place your fingers in the opening beneath the center of the hood and look for the secondary hood release latch.
4. Push the latch to the left to release the hood cover.
5. Raise the hood.

2001 – 2018 Models

1. Pull the hood release latch below the steering wheel until you hear a click. It has a car with an open hood symbol.
2. Approach the front of your vehicle.
3. Place your fingers below the hood cover to locate the secondary hood release latch.
4. Push the latch to the left to release the hood cover.
5. Lift the hood.
