2011 – 2017 Models
To automatically open the trunk of the Nissan Quest, you have three options to choose from.
Note: To open the trunk of your Nissan Quest, ensure that the power door main ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. This button is found on the instrument panel on the dashboard.
Option 1 – Using the Power Lift Gate Switch on the Instrument Panel
- Ensure that the power door main switch is ON.
- Locate and press the power lift gate switch on the instrument panel, and the trunk will open automatically.
You can open the trunk of your Nissan Quest using this method even if the car doors are locked. The hazard lights will flash once before the trunk opens.
Option 2 – Pushing the Open Switch on the Lift Gate
- Ensure that the power door main switch is ON.
- Under the trim panel on the lift gate, push the open switch, and the trunk will open automatically.
Option 3 – Using the Lift Gate Button on the Key Fob
- Ensure that the power door main switch is ON.
- Press the liftgate button on the intelligent key fob for more than one second. The hazard lights will flash, and the trunk will open.
You can use this option while inside or outside the vehicle. Even if your doors are locked, this option will still open the trunk of your Nissan Quest.
