If you’re unfamiliar with the Nissan Murano, you may have trouble finding the fuel door release lever. It’s not located on the floorboard next to the driver’s seat like it is with most vehicles. We’ll walk you through opening your fuel door with these simple steps for each model year.
2015 – 2023 Models
- Turn the car ignition off.
- Locate the fuel door lever below the instrument panel on the driver’s side of the car.
- Pull on the fuel door lever to open the fuel door.
- To close it, push on the fuel door until a click sound is heard.
2009 – 2014 Models
- Turn the car ignition off.
- Locate the fuel door button adjacent to the steering wheel on the driver’s side of the car.
- Press the button to open the fuel door.
- To close it, push on the fuel door until a click sound is heard.
