Nissan Altima: Reset Stereo System

Your Nissan Altima stereo system might frustrate you at a critical moment when you need to listen to the radio or listen to a podcast. You will need to reset your stereo system on your Nissan Altima by following these steps on different models.

2018 – 2022 Models

  1. Start the car engine and turn on your radio.
  2. Wait for at least 10 seconds and turn off your car’s radio.
  3. Hold down the power button again and wait for the stereo system to reset.

OR

  1. Enter the radio code found in your car manual to reset.

2010 – 2017 Models

Method 1

  1. Turn on your radio.
  2. Press and hold down repeat button, number one and simultaneously turn the volume up until the menu pops up.
  3. Select the back button.
  4. Press the power button again, and the stereo system will reset.

Method 2

  1. Press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds.
  2. The stereo system will turn off and turn back on after a while.
  3. At this point, the radio is reset.

Method 3

  1. Locate the radio code on your Nissan Altima manual for the radio.
  2. Use the station select button to input the radio code.

  1. 2017 Nissan Altima.

    Radio/back up camera not working.

    Video nor radio display or sound work om the car at the moment. Gave someone a jump, they hooked up the wrong sides and many sparks appeared. After I turned my car on, the radio and back up camera stopped working. Checked and changed fuse several times, unplugged the negative side of the battery for a whole night, reconnected and nothing, held the power down for 10 seconds and nothing.

    Please help.
