Mercedes C230: Connect a Phone

All Mercedes-Benz C230s come with Bluetooth features. This means you can make calls, play your favorite music, or sync your data without touching your phone while driving. Wondering how you can connect your car to your phone? Here’s how:

2020 – 2022 Models

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone.
  2. Press the Phone 📞 button on your car’s steering wheel. The infotainment system will skip directly to the pairing menu. Alternatively, select the Phone option from the infotainment system’s Home menu.
  3. Select Connect a New Device on your infotainment screen.
  4. Select Start Search on System.
  5. Select the name of the phone that you want to connect to your car.
  6. Confirm that the code on the infotainment screen is similar to the one displayed on your phone.
  7. If they match, select Pair, and your phone will connect to your Mercedes C230.

2008 – 2019 Models

  1. Locate the Bluetooth set-up on your phone and turn on its visibility.
  2. Push the Phone 📞 button located on your car’s infotainment system.
  3. Scroll through to the Connect Bluetooth option and select OK.
  4. Your car will start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices. Once it discovers your phone, a code will appear on your infotainment screen. Key in the pin into your cellphone and click OK.

2001 – 2007 Models

  1. Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth and enable its visibility.
  2. Push the Phone 📞 button available on your radio’s control settings.
  3. Select Bluetooth Phones from the list displayed.
  4. On your phone, scroll through your available Bluetooth devices and choose MB Bluetooth (usually the bottom-most option).
  5. When your phone prompts you to authorize MB Bluetooth to connect, click Yes.
  6. Your car’s system will request that you pick a four to six-digit numeric code. Input the code on your phone and car system and click Connect.
  7. After a few seconds, the word Paired will display on your phone and car’s display system, indicating that the connection is complete.
