Mercedes-Benz Sprinter: How To Reset The TPMS

If the Tire Pressure Management System in the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is not working properly, you may have to reset the system. Using the image which suits your vehicle, follow one of the options below to re-initialize the TPMS.

First, Check the Recommended Air Levels Needed

  • Refer to the Manufacturer’s Sticker.
  • Fill each tire to the recommended PSI/Air Pressure Levels.
  • Make sure the spare has the correct amount of air as well.

Make sure all tires are properly inflated to the recommended pressure. You can find the recommended pressure values in the owner’s manual or on a sticker on the driver’s door or inside the fuel filler flap.

2002 – 2005 Models

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter from 2002 to 2005 typically doesn’t have a direct TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) that communicates with the vehicle’s electronics.

If the TPMS warning light on your Mercedes-Benz Sprinter stays lit, keep in mind that the outdoor temperature affects how fast the air in the tires will adjust to the proper temperature. If the tire pressure warning light stays illuminated past a week, take it to a repair shop.

TIP: Always keep a tire pressure gauge close by to check your tires just in case the warning light comes on again.
