Mercedes-Benz C250: How To Open Trunk

2012 – 2015 Models

Manual Method

  1. Turn off the engine.
  2. Pull the trunk release lever until you hear the trunk pop open. The lever is on the bottom left side of the driver’s side and has the image of a car with an open trunk printed on top.

Using The Smart Key

  1. Ensure the engine is off.
  2. Press the button with the image of a vehicle with an open trunk on your smart key.
  3. The trunk will pop open.

Hands-Free Method

Suppose you are holding stuff in both hands and need to open the trunk to store them. You can pop the trunk with a few kicking movements under the bumper. Sensors underneath the vehicle sense your foot movement and direct the trunk to open.

  1. Ensure your engine is off.
  2. Approach your vehicle’s trunk with the smart key in your pocket.
  3. Stand one foot away from your vehicle and make a kicking movement under your vehicle’s bumper.
  4.  The vehicle will chime to notify you that the trunk is opening.
