Every car owner or driver should know how to perform some basic maintenance. It doesn’t matter if you consider yourself a mechanic or not. Some maintenance jobs require opening the hood of the vehicle. Below are the steps to opening the hood on your Mercedes-Benz C250.
2012 – 2022 Models
There are two different ways that your hood might open.
Method 1
- Pull on the red lever under the dashboard. The hood will pop up but not open fully.
- At the front of the car, look for the second lever sticking out from the grill on the right-hand side.
- Pull the lever and lift the hood up at the same time. The hood will remain open without a prop stick.
Method 2
- Pull the red lever under the dashboard on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
- Walk to the front of the car.
- Slide your left hand, palm up, under the hood.
- Push up on the secondary latch and open the hood simultaneously.
