2020 Models
- Turn the fob over to reveal the latch located at the TOP BACK of the fob.
- Slide the latch to the side, then REMOVE the key.
- Use the key to UNLOCK the vehicle door.
- Place the key fob on the START button, PUSH in, and press the BRAKE to start the vehicle.
*Although the battery in the fob is dead, the vehicle will, in fact, recognize the fob.
2011 – 2019 Models
- The fob battery is low or dead if the engine does not start when pushing the button.
- Place the nose side of the Fob (opposite end from the emergency key) against the Start/Stop button.
- Push the Start/Stop button.
**NOTE: If you are unable to enter and start the vehicle with the dead key fob on the first try, REPEAT the steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.
