Jeep Grand Cherokee: Reset Oil Life

Have you recently changed the oil in your Jeep Grand Cherokee? You will need to reset the oil life manually to get rid of the ‘change oil soon’ notification on your dashboard.

2014 – 2022 Models

1. Place the ignition on the RUN/ON mode without starting the engine
2. Scroll down the menu to the Vehicle Info screen.
3. Press OK to select the Vehicle Info menu.
4. Scroll down to find the Oil Life screen.
5. Hold down the OK button to reset the oil life.

2011 – 2013 Models

1. Place the ignition on the RUN/ON mode without starting the engine or pushing the brake pedal.
2. Scroll down the menu to the Vehicle Info screen and select it.
3. Scroll down the Vehicle Info menu until you find the Oil Reset screen.
4. Press and hold the OK button and wait a few seconds. The oil life will reset to 100%.

2005 – 2010 Models

1. Place the ignition on the RUN/ON mode without starting the engine or pushing the brake pedal.
2. Press the accelerator pedal 3x within ten seconds.
3. Turn off the ignition without pushing the brake pedal.
4. The oil life will reset to 100%.
