2019 – 2022 Models
There are two ways to open the trunk on the 2019-2022 models.
Key Fob Method
- Approach the trunk of your car.
- Press the liftgate release button on your key fob twice.
- The trunk door will open.
Hands-Free Method
- Approach the trunk of your vehicle with your smart key in your pocket.
- Stand within 20 inches from the car.
- Make a slow kicking motion under the rear bumper.
- The tailgate hazard light will flash, and the trunk door will open within one to three seconds.
2014 – 2018 Models
There are three ways to unlock the trunk in the 2014-2018 models.
Key Fob Method
- Approach the rear of your vehicle.
- Stand within 5 ft from the vehicle and press the trunk release button on the key fob twice.
- The trunk door will open.
Manual Method
- Locate the electronic liftgate release button at the back of your vehicle.
- Press the button once to open the liftgate.
Overhead Console Button Method
- Locate the electronic liftgate release button on the front overhead console.
- Press the button once.
- The trunk door will open.
2008 – 2013 Models
- Approach your vehicle’s trunk.
- Press the trunk release button on your key fob twice.
- The trunk door will open.
