Opening the trunk is something that shouldn’t take much thought. However, each car brand does things a little differently. Thankfully, the steps to opening a Jeep Commander trunk are below.

Keyfob
- Press the Open Trunk button 2x.
Outside Vehicle (Trunk)
- Pull/Squeeze the handle on the trunk just above the license plate.
- Lift the trunk open.
Outside Vehicle (Flipper Glass)
- Push the window button on the trunk next to the license plate.
- Lift the glass open.
Commander with Power Lift
Keyfob
- Press the Open Trunk button 2x.
- The trunk will lift open on its own.
Outside Vehicle (Trunk)
- Pull/Squeeze the handle on the trunk just above the license plate.
- The trunk will lift open on its own.
2006 Models

- Press the Open Trunk button 2x.
