Hyundai Tucson: How To Open Trunk

Below are steps to open a Hyundai Tucson’s trunk based on your car’s model.

2022 – 2023 Models

These models have a “power liftgate” feature that automatically opens the trunk when you wave your feet under your car’s trunk. To use this feature:

1. Open your “settings” on the digital dashboard.
2. Select “setup” and then “vehicle.“
3. Scroll down to “door” on the left side of the screen, then click the check box for “power liftgate” in the center of the screen.
4. With the car unlocked and the keys in your pocket or hand, stand near the back of your vehicle, and the trunk will open after you wave your foot under the rear bumper.

OR

1. Press and hold the unlock trunk button on the driver’s side dash to the left of the steering wheel or on the vehicle’s fob to manually open your trunk.

2005 – 2021 Models

1. On the driver’s side dash, press and hold the open trunk button to the left of the steering wheel.

OR

1. Alternatively, press and hold the unlock trunk button on the vehicle’s fob.
