Resetting your Hyundai Sonata stereo system is fairly simple if you know how. This guide will go over ways to reset the stereo system, depending on your model.

2017 – 2022 Models
- Check around the digital screen for a small reset button, then use a pen or something similar to press and hold the reset button for one or two seconds.
- The Hyundai logo will pop up on the screen, and the reboot will take 10 seconds or so.
- A pop-up will appear on the screen. Press continue, and the reset is complete.
2013 – 2016 Models
Before you follow these steps, contact your local Hyundai dealer to request a code that you will use to reset your system.
- Flip your ignition key to the “on” position.
- Give the radio time to start up.
- Wait for 10 seconds, then turn the radio off.
- Hold the radio power button until the system reboots.
- Enter the code provided by your local Hyundai dealer.
2010 – 2012 Models
- Open the fuse box compartment on the driver’s side.
- Locate the fuse in a yellow casing at the bottom, press it sideways, pull it out, then push it back in.
- Turn on the radio.
