2019 – 2023 Models
Note: These models do not have a fuel door release lever or button.
- Make sure your car is parked, turned off, and the doors are unlocked.
- Go to the fuel door at the car’s rear and push on the center – near the edge.
- Now let go, and it will open.
2013 – 2018 Models
- Make sure your car is parked, turned off, and the doors are unlocked.
- Locate and pull the fuel door button near the driver’s side footwell.
- The fuel door automatically opens.
2001 – 2012 Models
- Make sure your car is parked, turned off, and the doors are unlocked.
- Find the fuel door lever by the driver’s side footwell and pull.
- The fuel door automatically opens.
FAQ
What can I do if the fuel door is stuck?
Try prying it open with a credit card. You may have to pull the latch while attempting to open the fuel door. This might require assistance from another person. What worked for me is, I crammed my credit card into the door, then was able to pull the latch by myself.
