Hyundai Santa Fe: How To Set Clock

We’re always checking on the time while we’re driving to figure out how early or late we are and at approximately what time we are supposed to get to our destination. Today, we’re going to show you how to adjust the time on your Hyundai Santa Fe so that your clock is accurate.

2020-2022 Models

1. Turn the vehicle to the ON position without starting it.
2. Swipe right on the touch screen display on the dashboard.
3. Press on the displayed time at the top of the screen (The Time/Date settings menu will show on the screen.)
4. Select Date/Time for time-setting options.
5. On the menu that pops up, select GPS Time which automatically updates the time.

Option 2:

1. Follow steps 1-4 above.
2. Manually adjust the time by selecting the option that displays the date and time format.

Note: The option may be greyed out if any other option is selected. To manually adjust the time all other options must be unselected. Below the manual adjustment option, there is a Time Format menu option allowing you to choose between the 12 Hours and 24 Hours time format options.

Option 3:

1. Follow steps 1-4 above.
2. Select the Day Light Saving Time option.

Note: This option automatically sets the time to daylight saving option when selected and vice versa when unselected.

2013-2019 Models

In these Models, the Clock display is integrated into the vehicle’s screen. To adjust the clock:

1. Turn the car to the ON position without starting the car.
2. Press the SETUP button on the dashboard.
3. Select the Date/Time/ or Clock option on the display screen.
4. Next, automatically adjust the time by selecting the Daylight-Saving Time option.

You can also choose from the following options.

GPS Clock Settings

1. Follow steps 1-3 above.
2. You can turn the GPS time on and let it auto adjust.
3. Turn the GPS time – off and adjust the time manually.

 Manually Set the Time:

1. By selecting this option, you get to set the time the way you want it. There are buttons to let you adjust the settings. You can use either UP and DOWN keys or the + and – keys to increase or decrease the numbers displayed to set the time.
2. With the Clock Settings Menu, you can also change the time format and choose between AM and PM or the 24Hr Clock system.
3. Once you’ve configured the time, exit the clock setting menu by pressing the back button, the Setup button, or the Clock Button on the dashboard.
4. The correct time will display on the car display screen either at the top or bottom of the screen.

2007-2012 Models

In these models, the clock is independently located on the dashboard and can easily be located with its adjustment buttons beside the clock screen.

1. First, you turn the car to the ON position without starting the engine. (This turns the clock on).
2. Press the H button beside the screen to adjust the hour side of the clock.
3. Press the M button beside the screen to adjust the minute side of the clock.

Sometimes you need to adjust the time for daylight savings. But other times, your clock might reset itself when you turn the car on and off. Or the time could be slowly falling behind. In these cases, you might want to think about checking or even replacing your car battery.
