A factory reset is one of the easiest methods to unlock your Hyundai Elantra’s stereo system.

  1. To begin, you must locate a small hole in the front panel of your stereo system.
    1. This small button is usually located on the lower right-hand side of the radio’s front panel. You can usually find it close to the phone button, above the FM/AM button. Depending on the model of your car, you have various locations for these little buttons.
  2. Press the tiny button in the small hole with an instrument, such as the tip of a pencil or paperclip.
  3. Once you press this little button, your Hyundai Elantra’s stereo system will automatically reset itself.

2010 – 2019 Models

By changing a fuse, you can reset stereo systems on older Hyundai Elantra models. Follow these steps, and you will be able to reset it easily.

  1. On the left side of the steering wheel of your Hyundai Elantra, you will find the fuse box.
  2. Open it and locate the fuse for your car radio. It should be labeled “radio” or “sound system.”
  3. Carefully remove the fuse from your car radio and check its condition.
    1. If you notice that this fuse is defective, replace it with a new fuse.
  4. When you have replaced the fuse in your car radio, close the fuse box and turn on your Hyundai Elantra radio. You will notice that it has been reset and works normally.
