1998 – 2023 Models
- Ensure your vehicle is parked and the engine is off.
- Locate the OBD-II port beneath the dashboard, near the driver’s seat.
- Purchase or borrow an OBD-II scanner tool. These tools are available online or at auto parts stores.
- Insert the OBD-II scanner’s connector into the OBD-II port.
- Insert your key into the ignition and turn it to the “On” position.
- Follow the scanner’s instructions to power it on. Navigate the menu options to find the “Read Codes” or “Diagnose” function.
- The scanner will display error codes that are triggering the VSC light. These codes will help you identify the issue causing the VSC light to be illuminated.
