- Next, locate the positive terminal of the battery. It is typically marked with a plus (+) sign.
- Remove the nut or clamp securing the cable to the positive terminal. Gently lift the cable away from the terminal, being cautious not to touch any metal surfaces.
- Now that both cables are disconnected, locate the horn button and press it twice. Then turn on the headlights for a minute. Allow the battery to remain disconnected for approximately 15 minutes. This helps discharge any remaining electricity.
- After 15 minutes, start by reconnecting the positive cable to the positive terminal of the battery.
- Next, reconnect the negative cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
