2018 – 2023 Models
- Make sure all doors are closed during the programming process.
- Insert a valid, already programmed key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position. Do not start the engine.
- Press and release the “LOCK” button on the key fob.
- Turn the ignition back to the “OFF” position and remove the key.
- If you have multiple key fobs to program, repeat the above steps for each of them.
- Exit the programming mode by opening the driver’s side door.
1997 – 2018 Models
- Close all doors and insert the key into the ignition.
- Turn the key from “OFF” to “ON” (do not start the engine) four times within six seconds.
- Leave the key in the “ON” position. The vehicle will chime to indicate programming mode.
- Press any button on the key fob, and the vehicle will chime again, indicating successful programming.
