2022 – 2023 Models
- Get into the driver’s seat and close all doors and windows.
- Insert the existing working key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine). Alternatively, some models may require pressing the “Engine Start/Stop” button twice without stepping on the brake pedal.
- Press and hold the “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons on the working key fob simultaneously for about 5-10 seconds. The vehicle’s lights will flash to indicate that the programming mode has been activated.
- While the vehicle is in programming mode, press the “Lock” button on the new key fob you want to program. The lights should flash again to confirm successful programming.
- If you have more than one new key fob to program, repeat step 4 for each additional key fob.
- Once you have programmed all the key fobs, turn off the ignition, or press the “Engine Start/Stop” button again.
2011 – 2021 Models
- Insert your existing key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
- Press and hold the “Unlock” button on the driver-side door panel while simultaneously turning the ignition key to the “OFF” position and then back to “ON” (Do this quickly and three times in total: OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON).
- Release the “Unlock” button, and you should hear the door locks cycle indicating the vehicle is in programming mode.
- Press and release the key fob’s “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons simultaneously.
- If you have more than one key fob to program, press and release the “Lock” and “Unlock” buttons on each additional key fob within 10 seconds of programming the previous one.
- The door locks will cycle again to confirm successful programming.
- Turn the ignition to the “OFF” position.
2005 – 2010 Models
- Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ON” position (do not start the engine).
- Press and hold the “Unlock” button on the driver’s side door while also turning the key from the “OFF” to the “ON” position three times.
- Release the “Unlock” button and listen for the doors to lock and unlock, indicating the programming mode is active.
- Press any button on the key fob you want to program, and you should hear the doors lock and unlock again, indicating successful programming.
- Repeat the previous step if you have multiple key fobs to program.
- Turn the key to the “OFF” position to exit programming mode.
