- Sit in the driver’s seat with all the doors closed.
- Turn your key in the ignition from “off” to “on” and wait 1-3 seconds.
- Turn your key in the ignition from “off” to “on” again.
- Close and open the driver’s door twice.
- Insert the key into the ignition and remove it.
- Door locks will cycle if programming was successful.
- Test by using the key fob to lock and unlock the doors.
- Repeat the process if the key fob doesn’t work.
Keys with Separate Remote
- Sit in the driver’s seat with all the doors closed.
- Within 5 seconds, turn your key in the ignition from “off” to “on” two times.
- Open, close, and open the driver’s door.
- Insert the key into the ignition and close the driver’s door.
- Turn the ignition from “off” to “on” and back to “off” and remove the key.
- Door locks will cycle within 3 seconds to indicate entering “program mode”. If they don’t, repeat the entire process.
- Within 40 seconds of locks cycling, press the “lock” and “unlock” buttons on the remote for 1.5 seconds.
- Release both buttons and immediately press the “lock” button for 2 seconds.
- The locks will cycle one time if successful; two cycles mean it didn’t work.
- Open the driver’s door to exit programming mode. Now you can test your remote.
