Auto start stop is a feature no one asked for, but the EPA decided you’ll have whether you like it or not. Thankfully, there’s a simple plug-and-play wiring fix to permanently disable auto start stop. This works with the Raptor model as well.
A company called 4D Tech created a wiring harness which plugs in behind the glovebox. This installation is easy, the company created the below installation video which details the process.
What this cable does is force the truck’s computer to remember the OFF setting. Without any mods, Ford lets you decide to turn A.S.S. off, but forces you to do this every time you turn on the car, which is cumbersome. This mod allows your choice to remain in place through each power cycle.
Update: They make a harness for the 2019-2023 models as well. Just make sure to choose your generation, both harnesses are accessible with the button link below.
