How to Fold Down the Rear Seats in a Ford Mustang

2015 – 2023 Models

1. Find and pull the release lever on the back seat’s top corner, near the seat belt anchor.
2. Once the seatback is unlocked, push it down flat.

2005 – 2014 Models

1. Locate and pull the release levers in the trunk near the top edge, on the driver’s side.
2. Push down the seat back to create a functional space for carrying larger items.

1994 – 2004 Models

1. Locate and pull the release tabs at the bottom of the rear seat, near the floor.
2. Fold it down flat.

Remember to:

• Remove any objects from the rear seats before folding them down.
• If you encounter any resistance, double-check that you’ve released the seat properly.
• When you’re ready to put the seats back up, simply reverse the process.
