Honda Fit: Reset Engine Oil Life

Learn how to reset the Engine Oil Life on the Honda Fit back to 100% after an oil change with this tutorial.

2017 Models & Newer

1. Turn the ignition to the “ON” position without starting the engine.
2. Press the “Select/Reset” stem on the instrument panel to toggle to where the “Oil Life” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the stem for 10 seconds until the Oil Life blinks.
4. Release the stem, then press and hold it again for 5 seconds. The codes on the display should disappear.

2007 to 2016 Models

1. Turn the ignition to the “ON” position without starting the engine.
2. Press the “Select/Reset” stem on the instrument panel to toggle to where the “Oil Life” is displayed.
3. Press and hold the stem for more than 10 seconds until the maintenance item and codes blink. Release the stem button.
4. Now press and hold the stem button again, but this time for 5 seconds.

That’s all there is to it! After performing these steps, the engine oil life on the Honda Fit should be reset.
