Honda CRV: How To Set The Clock

Setting the clock in your Honda CRV is required after every battery change, and for some models, if you travel to a different time zone. Please read through each Option to find the instructions suitable for your vehicle! Below you will find the uncomplicated steps to follow to set the time on the clock.

NOTE: If you are unable to set the Time on the first try, REPEAT the steps. If you are still unsuccessful, contact the dealership for assistance or consult your vehicle user’s manual.

OPTION 1

1. Turn the key to the ON position. DO NOT start the ignition.
2. Press the H button located right under the clock display to adjust the HOUR.
3. Press the M button to adjust the MINUTES.

*Once you have entered the time, YOU ARE ALL SET!

OPTION 2

1. Turn the key to the ON position. DO NOT start the ignition.
2. Turn the radio OFF by pressing the VOL/PUSH/PWR KNOB on the left until you ONLY see the time on the display.
3. Press and HOLD the CLOCK/FM button until you hear a BEEP and the time starts to BLINK.
4. To set the HOUR press the FF/4 button.
5. To set the MINUTES, press the button with a 5 on it.

*When you have set the time you desire, press the CLOCK/FM button again to finalize the time.

OPTION 3

1. Turn the key to the ON position. DO NOT start the ignition.
2. Press the SETUP button located to the right on the center console.
3. Turn the VOL/PUSH/SELECT DIAL to highlight ADJUST CLOCK on the display screen. 
4. Press the button in the MIDDLE of the dial to select it.
5. Turn the DIAL to move the arrow over the HOUR or MINUTES. 
6. Press the button in the MIDDLE of the dial to select the HOUR. 
7. Rotate the DIAL to adjust the HOUR. 
8. Press the MIDDLE button again to set the HOUR. 
9. Repeat this step to adjust the MINUTES.
10. Once you have the time you wish, turn the DIAL to move the arrow over SET.
11. Press the button in the MIDDLE of the dial to finalize the time you have chosen.

For Models with a Navigation Screen:

OPTION 4

1. Turn the key or press the start/stop button to the ON position. DO NOT start the ignition.
2. Touch the HOME button.
3. Touch SETTINGS.
4. Touch CLOCK.
5. Touch CLOCK ADJUSTMENT.
6. Touch the UP and DOWN ARROWS to adjust the HOUR and MINUTES.
7. Touch OK to finalize the time you have entered.

TIP: For vehicles with digital navigation screens: Turning on the GPS TIME will allow the system to automatically adjust your time dependent on your present location. This feature will change your clock when you cross into a different time zone.
