Honda CRV: Reset Stereo System

2015 – 2022 Models

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Next, turn on the sound.
  3. Hold the power button down for 5 to 7 seconds.
  4. A smaller screen will pop up and ask if you would like to reboot. Press Yes.
  5. The system will reboot. It may take up to 40 seconds to set up and grant you access to your infotainment system

2002 – 2014 Models

  1. Turn off the car and the radio.
  2. Next, turn on the vehicle but not the radio.
  3. Press buttons 1 and 6 while simultaneously holding down the “on” button. It should take a second or two to generate an 8-digit serial number.
  4. Note the serial number (without the alphabetical letters in front of the numbered digits).
  5. Navigate to radio-navicode-honda.com and enter this serial number along with your Vehicle Identification Number.
  6. You’ll receive a code to enter into your radio. Enter this code, then press play.
  7. Your car radio should reset.

2000 – 2001 Models

  1. For these models, the PIN code is either on the small ID card that accompanies the manual or can be found inside the glovebox written on a white sticker. Sometimes, the code may be on the back of the radio itself. In this case, you’ll need to detach the unit to find it.
  2. Enter the pin code using the preset buttons to reset the stereo.
